We provide information, guidance, and personalized resource navigation to help people understand their options and access the supports they need.
We also offer dedicated guidance for immigrants and newcomers who are navigating the disability support system in British Columbia.

Disability supports in British Columbia are provided through a range of government systems, programs, and community services.
These include:
- Government systems such as MSDPR(for income and disability assistance) MCFD (for children and youth) and CLBC (for adults with developmental disabilities)
- Income and financial supports, including PWD, CPP Disability, and disability related tax credits.
- Employment support services such as WorkBC.
- Health and medical supports, including MSP and PharmaCare
- Community and settlement services that provide local, ongoing support
These systems are often accessed at different stages depending on age, eligibility, and individual needs.

Understanding disability supports in BC
Disability supports in British Columbia are accessed through different systems depending on your age, eligibility, and individual needs. We help you understand how these systems connect and where to start.
Key systems include:
- MCFD (Ministry of Children and Family Development)supports children and youth under 19, including assessment, family support, and developmental services.
- CLBC (Community Living BC) provides ongoing support for adults with disabilites.
- MSDPR (Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction) administers provincial disability assistance and income support programs.
- PWD (Persons with Disabilites) a provincial financial assistance program for eligible adults with disabilities.
- WorkBC offers employment support, job search assistance, and training programs.
- Additional supports may include MSP, PharmaCare, and community based services.
